3ds Max Design Visualization Print E-mail

This course outlines the essential processes of design visualization in 3ds Max over the span of 24 class hours. Industrial design, architecture, interior design, and advertising are just a few of the industry applications of 3ds Max’s powerful tools for shading, lighting and rendering. Featuring an intuitive interface, photometric lighting and tight integration with the mental ray rendering engine, 3ds Max is the dominant 3D package for design visualization.

In this course, we focus on importing models from CAD software, advanced material shaders, physically accurate lighting simulations and global illumination techniques.

Objectives
Upon completion of the course, trainees will be familiar with the following:
Importing data from other applications and formats
Scene organization: Layers, Groups, Linking, Instancing
Editing imported models, such as AutoCAD floor plans and IGES files
Raytracing with the Scanline Renderer
Photometric lighting
mental ray Arch & Design material
mental ray renderer settings
